What is CDT?
CDT stands for Central Daylight Time. Its offset from UTC is UTC-5, 5 hours behind UTC.
CDT is the summer time of the central United States and Canada, five hours behind UTC.
In winter these places go back to CST (UTC-6). Mexico City no longer changes its clocks, so it stays on CST. Manitoba stopped changing its clocks in 2026 and now stays on UTC-5 all year, so it is no longer an example of CDT.
